Premium Bandai online shop has started the pre-orders for these scrumptious Red Earth Evengelion cakes (name is still tentative) which will be ready to ship this December for the Christmas holiday season.
The cake is basically strawberry mousse on top of a thin layer of chocolate sponge cake. Raspberry jam is used as a filling and can also be found in the middle of the cake. A thin layer of strawberry-flavored chocolate ganache is sprayed on top with some pieces of strawberry-flavored chocolate bars sticking out to give the cake that desolate Earth look.
A 13.5 cm Rei Ayanami PVC figure is included when you purchase this cake. The figure also comes with the scythe from her Evangelion Mark .09 from Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo and is wearing her black plug suit.
The pre order for the cake starts today, August 22 and is available at the Premium Bandai Online shop. The cake costs 4,410 yen and has an additional 735 yen cost for freezing the cake and mailing it to you.
