Throwing the ceremonial opening pitch in a baseball game has always been a huge honor as American presidents, other politicians, movie stars and star athletes from other sports have all threw the hardball as a sign of honoring them.
This time, the latest one to get that honor a select few have ever done is Sadako. That’s right, that vengeful spirit from The Ring threw the opening pitch for a baseball game between the Saitama Seibu Lions and the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks.
Sadako also promoted her latest movie, Sadako 3D 2 to the audience watching the game live as well as the viewers watching via television. The Seibu Dome crowd went wild and cheered her on as she made her way to the pitcher’s mound. The vengeful spirit was almost in perfect form at the Seibu dome… until she actually threw the ball and fell over.
She threw a fast ball which was clocked at 103 km per hour which is actually quite a good pitch. After she fell over however, the poor Sadako had to be carried away by some medics with a stretcher… awwwwwwwwww.
Sadako will be seen in her newest horror screamfest titled Sadako 3D2 which will hit Japanese theaters on August 30.
