Hatsune Miku is truly an angel! Though she may not be able to donate blood personally, Hatsune Miku is doing something really angelic as the virtual pop star teams up with the Japanese Red Cross Society to promote blood donation to the younger generation.
Her much awaited Magical Mirai 2013 concert, to be held in the Yokohama Arena this August 30, will not only feature some company booths selling Vocaloid merchandise but also an exhibit by the Japanese Red Cross. The aim of the exhibit is to send a message to the young people that blood donation is important and donating blood can and will save a person’s life.
The booth will also screen a PR video showcasing some high school students dancing with Hatsune Miku and some Red Cross staff to the beat “Wavefile“. The message and theme of the video is of course Blood Donation.
There will also be a Red Cross blood donation bus located in the parking lot so people who want to help can just visit the bus. This was also done by the Red Cross during Comiket 84.
Several Hatsune Miku merchandise like postcards and buttons will also be given away by the booth. Ain’t that great? Not only will you be able to save a life with the blood you give but you can also get some awesome Hatsune Miku goodies while you’re at it.
The Red Cross booth will be open from 10:30 am until 10:00 pm and the blood donation bus will be open from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm on August 30.
This however won’t be the first time Miku did something like this. Our favorite virtual pop star also helped the Red Cross out with their blood drives on multiple occasions.
