Japan"s salarymen weigh in on which "Attack on Titan" character would be best as boss

In a July survey by My Navi that drew 243 participants, Japan’s male workforce weighed in on which character from Attack on Titan they’d want to be their boss.

With Attack on Titan‘s popularity, it’s no surprise that even salarymen have heard of the show or read the manga. What is surprising is who they thought would be the best person to serve as their superior. Take a look at the rankings below.

  1. Eren Yeager [22.8]

  2. Mikasa Ackerman [17.5]

  3. Armin Arlert [6.8]

  4. Jean Kirstein [3.8]

  5. Dot Pixis [3.4] / Levi [3.4]

Yes, that’s right. The main character of the show, not always the smartest person, was chosen by a majority of participants. According to a 26-year-old professional in the finance line, he chose Eren “because of his motivational attitude, which would make him a good boss.”

Mikasa garnered replies that make more sense. A 37 year-old construction worker put it best :”She’d be a beautiful boss to develop an office romance with.” Her looks won over a decent portion of the working Attack on Titan fans, though one 36 year-old temp agency manager said he preferred her for her yandere attitude that would surely make her care about those having trouble in the office.

Levi is fairly popular among the ladies, but apparently not as much among the male fans. The 3.4 percent that voted for him, though, seemed to have a good reason for doing so. A 26-year-old metallurgist pointed out that he already has a high level  of professionalism about him alongside his leadership abilities, while a 25-year-old software engineer stated “he’d be a dependable leader.”

It seems the older fans preferred Mikasa and her looks to the male heroes the younger workforce voted for. Now all that’s left is to see how the female workforce weighs in, though it may predictably lean towards Levi.
