Sega‘s hack-and-slash video game Bayonetta is now an upcoming anime movie, and before it hits theaters, the movie’s director, Fuminori Kizaki, payed a little visit to the prestigious Tokyo International Film Festival and he didn’t come alone…
The anime director was flanked by the anime movie’s titular character herself, Bayonetta. Clad in her signature cat suit with an open chest, gun and glasses, Bayonetta wowed the crowd in Roppongi Hills on the film fest’s opening day.
The lovely lady cosplaying as Bayonetta is 20-year-old upcoming model and idol Maho Hashimoto. She looked absolutely bewitching as she often did some Bayonetta-like gestures and poses as well as adjusting her glasses. She admitted that she was tense at first but then loosened up as she did not want to disappoint the fans.
Fuminori Kizaki meanwhile was also nervous going out into the glitz and glamour of the green carpet as he was surprised at the great number of cameras awaiting them. He is known for directing Afro Samurai which featured the voice of Samuel L. Jackson as the main character.
The two appeared in the the Tokyo International Film Festival to promote the upcoming Bayonetta: Bloody Fate movie which will have its Japanese premiere on November 23, 2013. It was also announced that there will be 50-minute screenings of the movie in the Toho Cinemas on October 22, 2013.
