In 1969, Takao Saito started Golgo 13 and the manga is still going strong and still holds the title of “Oldest manga still in publication”.
To celebrate the manga’s milestone, 51 manga artists have posted greetings to the series as well as the manga author. From Inuyasha’s Rumiko Takahashi to One Piece’s Eiichiro Oda, Takao Saito and his ageless assassin, Golgo 13, have most certainly enjoyed a lot of greetings from such manga heavyweights.

Here are the other illustrations drawn by the 51 manga artists in honor of the long-running anime. Big names in manga like Fujiko Fujio A (Doraemon) and Naoki Urasawa (20th Century Boys) have graced the list.
All these special Golgo 13 artworks will be shown in the 22nd issue of Shogakukan’s Big Comic magazine which will hit magazine stands on November 25, 2013. The magazine’s cover features takao Saito himself and celebrates his remarkable achievement.
Golgo 13 is an action manga series which follows a professional assassin known as Golgo 13.The manga made its debut in January 1969 and is now the longest running manga series in the world. It has been adapted into two OVAs, an anime adaptation as well as a live-action series.
