Fairy Tail manga author Hiro Mashima has made a few major announcements lately starting with the launch of the brand new Monthly Fairy Tail magazine.
According to his twitter account, the magazine will cost 2,980 yen and will include a DVD containing four episodes of the Fairy Tail anime.
Not only that, the beloved manga author and artist also announced that he will be launching a new Fairy Tail spin-off manga tentatively titled Fairy Tail Zero. The new manga will serve as a prequel for Fairy Tail and will have Fairy Tail’s lovable first guild master, Mavis Vermilion as its main character. The story will revolve around the secret origin of the wild and wacky Fairy Tail guild. He also tweeted this image featuring Mavis.
Since he will be doing both Fairy Tail and Fairy Tail Zero, Mashima admitted that he is gonna be in hell with all the work that he will be doing.
Fairy Tail Magazine will also feature other spin-off mangas by other authors, including one about FT’s nudist ice mage, Gray Fullbuster. Mashima has not yet announced when the new magazine will be released however.
