Green hair is one of the most identifiable colors in anime as it is not a hair color you will find in nature. Now, Japanese anime website DDNavi has once again visited the otaku capital of Akihabara and asked 100 anime otaku which green haired anime character do they think is the best. Here are their findings:
7) Tamaki Kannazuki (GJ-Bu)
This lovable “kouhai” is suffering from being noticed by her sempais too much and from the looks of things, its not just her sempais who notice her as she makes it to this lists top 7.
6) Kotori Otonashi (The iDOLM@STER)
Otonashi may have retired from her idol career to be 765 Pro’s (often left-out) secretary, but that does not seem to stop her from having plenty of fans as she makes it to #6 in DDNavi’s list.
5) Shion Sonozaki (Higurashi: When They Cry)
Shion is definitely one of the most memorable yanderes in Higurashi and it’s no surprise that this crazy lady makes it to the list
4) Kanaria (Rozen Maiden)
Kanaria may be the butt of a lot of jokes in Rozen Maiden but that does not stop this doll from being popular among the fans for her positive attitude and determination.
3) Tsuruya-san (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
Mikuru Asahina’s hyperactive best friend has caught the hearts of many fans and who blames them? She is just as lovable as she is energetic.
2) C.C. (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion)
C.C. is often considered THE green haired female anime character as her signature long green hair has been admired by fans the world over. All this feisty female wanted was to be loved, but ended up becoming immortal as time went by.
1) Lum Invader (Urusei Yatsura)
Surprise surprise, taking the #1 spot is one of the most iconic anime characters of all time, Lum. This classic character from Rumiko Takahashi’s classic manga is considered one of the very first anime sex symbols as Urusei Yatsura featured her in plenty of fan service scenes which are mostly unheard of in its time during the early 1980′s.
Well, a few other green haired characters were not featured in the list, however, that does not mean these characters aren’t popular at all. Macross Frontier’s Ranka Lee, Hyperdimension Neptunia’s Vert (goddess mode) and Dog Days’s Eclair.
DDNavi has also done something like this before as they have asked people in Akihabara who do they think is the best pink-haired anime character.
