Convenience store chain 7-Eleven recently released 25 limited edition Eva-01 figures from Neon Genesis Evangelion which measure in at approximately 2 meters in height and cost 1.8 million yen. Looks like the hefty price tag was not much of a deterrent as the figures get sold out in a mere 2 minutes.
7-Eleven Japan started accepting pre-orders for all 25 figures last July 7, 2014, and in just 2 minutes, all 25 figures were gone. Evangelion is still as popular as ever as it seems and no 1.8 million yen price tag could stop its many die-hard fans.
Available in two colors, the original version and the Seven Eleven version, these figures stand at approximately 2 meters height and approximately 80cm in width and it weighs in at approximately 20kg. Each figure is worth exactly 1,836,000 yen.
The figures are currently on display at 7-Eleven’s Asakusa Kaminarimon store.
