Nanami’s adventures as a local land god continues in the second season of Kamisama Kiss. The new season was announced in this year’s issue 17 of Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine.
The story follows Nanami Momozono, a teenage girl who becomes homeless after being left by her debt-ridden father. She meets a man who offers her his home. It turns out that the man is a local deity and his home is a Shinto shrine. He transfers his god mark to the young girl and leaves. Reluctant at first, Nanami becomes the Earth diety aided by her familiars: the fox spirit Tomoe and the shrine attendants Onikiri and Kotetsu.
The first season of Kamisama Kiss aired in 2012.
