Kantai Collection has become one of the most successful Japanese browser games of all time, and it does not even have an anime adaptation yet, however, that will change come January 2015 as KanColle’s much awaited anime adaptation will be airing during the Winter 2015 anime season.
During the The 1st Yokohama Naval Review Rehearsal, which was held yesterday at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall, it was announced that the anime will indeed premiere this January and also revealed a new key visual image.
The event also announced several new cast members, including Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha director Keizuo Kusakawa who will be at the helm of the series as lead director. Naomi Ide (Riddle Story of Devil) and Mayuko Matsumoto (Silver Fox) will be in-charge of character designs while Maho Takahashi (Letter Bee) will be leading the Art Direction.
