7 returning anime and spin-offs we are most excited watch this Spring 2015

Spring is in the air, and with the Winter 2015 anime slowly ending with their final episodes, fans are getting ready for Spring 2015 which is definitely one of the most loaded anime seasons in recent memory as it provides an A-list mix of anime returning for their latest seasons, spin-offs, and new anime.

And since spring is bringing in plenty of big name anime that are returning for a new season, we here at SGCafe have once again debated on which of these RETURNING anime and SPIN-OFF anime we are most excited to watch this new season. And after a week’s worth of arguing, we have finally agreed on seven. Do take note that these seven are either returning anime or spin-off anime and not new anime like Food Wars: Shokugeki no Souma. Here are the returning anime we are most excited about watching:

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. Zoku

Last time, we ranked My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU as the best anime of 2013, beating out Spring 2013 batchmate and fan favorite, Attack on Titan, and we stand by that decision, and even if we debated a lot on which anime to include in our recommendations, we all agreed that this one should be included. We are definitely excited to see the bitter-bitter-sweet trio of Hachiman, Yukino, and Yui as they help out their classmates in the most unexpected ways possible.

Digimon Adventure Tri

FyvVAdu

If you’ve watched the original Digimon Adventure series back when you were a child, then this one is definitely for you! Even with the new character designs, fans are definitely excited because all eight original digidestined are returning, now wouldn’t that be reason enough?!

Gintama (2015)

It’s Gintama, nuf said!

Nisekoi:

Nisekoi-Season-2-Key-Visual-001-20150317

Well, this fan battle which was started last year between members of Team Onodera, Team Chitoge, Team Marika, and Team Tsugumi is about to get even more complicated as Haru Onodera, Kosaki Onodera’s little sister, enters the fray. We are excited about the return of Nisekoi because even though it’s often corny and uses all the romantic comedy tropes out there, we just keep liking it. I admit, it’s my own personal guilty pleasure too!

Fate/ Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works part 2

key

After leaving fans stranded at the edges of their seats when the anime’s first part ended back in December, part 2 just had to be included in our list. Starting off where part 1 left off, this new season will offer more epic fight scenes and great animation as expected of ufotable.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid

Nana Mizuki and Yukari Tamura are returning to the roles which made them very famous, however, this one ain’t gonna be about Nanoha and Fate, but will focus on their daughter Vivio. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Vivid is one anime magical girl fans (and yuri fans) should never miss!

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan

After years of waiting, Haruhi fans can finally watch a new Haruhi anime, however, just like the fact that Nanoha ViVid ain’t about Nanoha, but about Vivio, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan ain’t about the goddess known as Haruhi Suzumiya but about Yuki Nagato, and not the alien we all know but the shy bookworm with no powers and still uses a Windows 95 OS for her PC. The spin-off follows the Yuki Nagato introduced in “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” and will feel very different from the main series, however, we are very much excited for it.

So what do you guys think of our picks?
