Digimon fans are sure to get one huge and nostalgic trip down memory lane as the official website for Digimon Adventure Tri has announced that the singer of the original OP song, Butter-Fly, Kouji Wada, will be returning to sing that very song for the new anime.
Besides Wada, Ayumi Miyazaki will also be returning to sing the show’s original insert song, Brave Heart, which was often played whenever a Digimon makes its digivolution
The website also updated the anime’s key visual, this time showing the digidestined with their partner digimon. It also announced that the original voice actors for the eight original partner digimon will also be making their return.
Chika Sakamoto as Agumon
Mayumi Yamaguchi as Gabumon
Katori Shigematsu as Piyomon
Junko Takeuchi as Gomamon
Kinoko Yamada a.k.a. Shihomi Mizowaki as Palmon
Miwa Matsumoto as Patamon
Takahiro Sakurai as Tentomon
Yuka Tokumitsu as Tailmon
Jou, Takeru, Hikari, Taichi, Yamato, Sora, Koushirou, and Mimi most certainly look all grown up as this new anime will be featuring Taichi as a 17-year old high school student. Digimon Adventure Tri is part of Digimon’s 15th anniversary celebrations. So who’s excited? I surely am, and I cannot wait for April because of this one!
