Is Kizumonogatari finally happening?! Official website opens countdown

After FOUR years of waiting, we may finally get to see the anime movie adaptation of NisiOisin’s Kizumonogatari, which focuses on the story, Koyomi Vamp, the prequel for the events which happened in Bakemonogatari. This is all thanks to an update in the movie’s official website.

pic_kizumonogatari

The website now shows a countdown timer, which is set to end on October 4 at 12:56 a.m. Japan time, which will be this Sunday. What the countdown will lead to could be anybody’s guess, but fans are really hopeful it is an announcement on when the movie will be shown. The website’s source code meanwhile contains a line which could roughly be translated to “That’s bad. I’m not going to show you anything today.”

That very official website was launched back in 2011, which was also when the anime movie adaptation of Kizumonogatari was announced. The film was originally slated for 2014, and then Fall 2013, and then it was put on hold indefinitely. So does this new countdown finally mean the four years of waiting will now end? I guess we will find out on Sunday.

"Metal Gear Can Continue Without Kojima" - Konami UK Community Manager

It has been said that Hideo Kojima‘s contract with Konami will expire this December, and when that happens, Kojima will now officially leave Konami, leaving behind a huge legacy for the gaming industry. Kojima has said that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be the final Metal Gear, however, according to Konami UK Community Manager, Graham Day,  “the Metal Gear brand will continue.”, and when asked if the series can continue without the help of Hideo Kojima, who Konami is currently as odds with, he said “Yeah, of course it can.”

The interview with Graham Day was done for gaming website, Game On, and he added that a different team can make Metal Gear Solid very successful as well and gave Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance as an example. Of course, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was not handled by Kojima Productions, but by Platinum Games. He also reassured the public that Konami remains committed to making console games.

Kojima Productions, along with other internal companies in Konami, had their names changed due to restructuring, and Hideo Kojima’s name was removed from the game titles, which usually sport a sign saying “A Hideo Kojima Game”. Kojima however countered Konami taking out his name with some guerrilla autograph signings, reminding people he was the one responsible for the game.

5 new anime series you should watch out for this upcoming Fall 2015 anime season

The Fall 2015 anime season is almost upon us, and as it approaches, many people people have been talking about the sequels or spin-offs which seem to be dominating the season as many popular anime such as Is the Order a Rabbit?, Haikyuu!!, and even Attack on Titan, are all coming back.

However, Fall 2015 is also featuring some new anime which we will be getting introduced to next season. Previously, we took a look at some anime we are already familiar with that are making their respective returns for Fall 2015, now, we are taking a look at five new anime that fans should watch out for as they make their respective premieres in October.

One Punch Man

tumblr_nu4tlnNtA71rkg64xo1_500

When it comes to the new anime, there is one huge elephant in the room that we must be talking about, and that certainly is One Punch Man. Filled with wacky and over-the-top characters, and add to that one extremely overpowered main character, One Punch Man is THE new series to watch out for this October. The series is a parody of the superhero genre, so expect plenty of laughs, as well as great action in this new anime.

Valkyrie Drive Mermaid

760126de6eb22d97d4991f79984075af1427025115_full

From the creators of the Senran Kagura franchise comes a new multimedia franchise which promises more… well… stuff bouncing around. Valkyrie Drive Mermaid will be premiering in October, and unlike Senran Kagura which just skirts over the yuri portions, Valkyrie Drive is a whole lot more blatant as it actually features a lot of girl-on-girl kisses. Oh, and there are fight scenes too.

A Corpse Buried Under Sakurako’s Feet

a-corpse-buried-under-sakurakos-feet-key-art

Mystery fans have plenty to talk about this fall as this upcoming season includes the mystery anime, A Corpse Buried Under Sakurako’s Feet. The anime will revolve around a woman named Sakurako and the various mysteries and incidents which she gets involved in, and all of these incidents somehow involve bones.

Heavy Object

O7Gx8GE

If you are a fan of A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun (or the A Certain series in general), then better check out Heavy Object, which is based on the light novels by Kazuma Kamachi, the creator of the A Certain series. The anime will be set in the near future, where the face of war has been changed by weapons known as “Objects”.

Syomin Sample

2Yq7DcD

Featuring a mouthful of an original Japanese title (Ore ga Ojou-sama Gakkou ni “Shomin Sample” Toshite Rachirareta Ke), Syomin Sample will be set just like most harem anime where one new male student becomes the sole guy in the entire school, however, the series is set in an all-girls school where all the students are rich and pampered ladies who have absolutely no idea how the real world works. The main character is named Kimito Kagurazaka, and from the looks of things, it’s not gonna be all rainbows and butterflies being the only guy at school.

So what do you guys think of our picks? You can also check out our picks and recommendations for the returning anime which will make their comebacks in this new fall 2015 season.

5 new anime series you should watch out for this upcoming Fall 2015 anime season

God Eater anime to continue in winter as episodes 10 - 13 are announced

Animation-wise, God Eater has become one of the best anime of the season, however, the series has been plagued with production problems which has led to a few episodes being delayed and not airing as scheduled, episode 1 for example. The anime’s first part will end on episode 9, which has just been aired in Japan, however, the anime’s continuation, will be aired this winter.

84ef6287-s

The announcement, which was made by the end of episode 9, revealed that the anime’s final four episodes, Episode 10: “Sange”, Episode 11: “Meteor Light”, Episode 12: “Dai-Ichi Butai”, and Episode 13: “Renge”, will be “coming this winter.”

8be23eef-s

The anime adaptation of Bandai Namco’s bestselling giant monster-hunting video game series is animated by ufotable (Fate/ Zero), which has gained a lot of praise for the beautiful and fluid animation they have done for the series, however, it seems that ufotable’s high standards in animation has caused a lot of delays with a few episodes.

7 familiar Fall 2015 anime which fans should check out as the new season begins

The Summer 2015 anime season is about to end, and as October begins, some series will be replaced by newer series while others will be making their triumphant return to Japanese TV with a new season or a new series. We take a look at seven of the upcoming anime that many of us are already familiar with as they may be the latest addition to a popular anime franchise or a new season to a beloved anime, or an official spin-off.

After much debating for two nights and a few violent altercations, we have finally come up with seven returning anime series that fans should continue watching as they return for this new Fall 2015 season. These are RETURNING ANIME, so new anime like One Punch Man are not included in this list. Here are our picks:

Attack on Titan: Junior High

attack-on-titan-junior-high

No, this is not then season 2 many want, but this is the lovable spin-off which will let you see the characters of Arrack on Titan in a new light, and gives a much lighter tone to the original series’ serious blood and gore tone. This hilarious spin-off which re-imagines the Attack on Titan characters as middle school students is certainly one anime any Attack on Titan fan should not miss.

Yuru Yuri San Hai!

tumblr_npiwdfTkAJ1sqqtwzo1_r2_1280

We love Yuru Yuri, and this third TV anime series is definitely one to watch out for as it promises to bring more gags, laughs, some yuri shipping, and lots of moments where Akari gets forgotten. Yeah, we are really excited to see Kyouko, Yui, and Chinatsu return… Oh, and Akariiiiiiiiiiiiiin too! Almost forgot that she’s a main character.

Lupin III (2015)

6f36a86399ef9925bf984784362361211413322525_full

Come on, it’s Lupin III, that’s reason enough!

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans

12050137f72ead7b03a5a1327e8247811436937678_full

The latest addition to the ever-growing Gundam franchise, Iron-Blooded Orphans will feature a Gundam which will evolve into a much stronger mobile suit as the series will go along, and be sure that fans and GunPla builders are looking forward to see how much this new series will be compared to the other classic Gundam anime. Will it go the way of critically acclaimed series like Zeta, Wing, and Turn A, or will it fail to reach expectations like AGE or G-Reco? Only time will tell.

More of our picks on page 2

Owarimonogatari

owarimonogatari

The final season of NisiOisin’s critically acclaimed Monogatari series is already in its “final season”, and the latest anime in that “final season” is of course, Owarimonogatari. Expect plenty of word play, an engaging and interesting story, a lot of puns, and a whole lot of Shaft Head Tilts in this latest addition to the Monogatari franchise.

Noragami Aragoto

Print

This second Noragami anime will be following the Bishamon arc from the manga, and this is certainly one anime that many fans are really excited about. Expect lots of godly action in this one as the poor war god, Yato, finally makes his long-awaited return.

Haikyuu! season 2

02860daf5d7dcdc3dbfe73b68268420d1427141896_full

After leaving fans hanging by the end of the first anime, the spikers of Karasuno High are ready to do battle against their rival volleyball teams once again in this new season, and we are really excited about it. Plenty of spikes, dives, blocks, and male friendship and bonding that will send fangirls screaming are to be expected in this new season.

So what do you guys think of our picks? Tune in tomorrow to see our picks and recommendations for the new anime which will make their debuts in this new fall 2015 season.
