If you’ve read the title, you have read it right, China is making their own live-action Doraemon movie, and it re-imagines the lovable robot cat from the future and gives him a more realistic look.
This Chinese Doraemon is titled “Bài tuō la xiǎo dīngdāng” and will be based on the original manga by Fujiko Fujio, however, new elements will be added to this Chinese live-action movie adaptation. I wonder what it is…
I am just here wondering where this Chinese Doraemon will be pulling out all those gadgets… Oh, and it looks like Ultamother, Ultraman’s mom, will be in the movie as well… that’s her, right? We’re not really sure…
The movie has drawn a mix of reactions from the Japanese, as some have commented that they prefer seeing Doraemon’s original form while others genuinely want to see the movie screened in Japan.
