Fate/ Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works (TV) is definitely one of this year’s most popular and most successful anime, and there is no doubt that each fan has their own favorite characters.
The ufotable Cafe in Tokyo, which is the official cafe for the very anime studio which animated the new Fate/ Stay Night anime, has recently polled its diners on which Fate characters are the most popular among fans. The Top 15 have been announced, and they are:
15: Souichirou Kuzuki
14: Shinji Matou
13: Assassin
12: Caster
11: Rider
10) Gilgamesh
9) Sakura Matou
8) Illyasviel Von Einzbern
7) Berserker
6) Shirou Emiya
5) Lancer
4) Saber
3) Rin Tohsaka
2) Kirei Kotomine
1) Archer
Is it just me or did Shirou Emiya get TWO SPOTS in this poll? Oh… wait…
Archer, who has shown how badass he is in the Rin Tohsaka Route, also known as Unlimited Blade Works, has taken the top spot in the official poll and beating out heavy favorite, Saber, who surprisingly only takes 4th place as she has been described as the “Cash Cow” of the Fate franchise.
Also beating out the face of Fate is #2 ranked Kotomine, who made one major upset over the two main heroines as he takes second place over #3 ranked Rin and #4 ranked Saber. The main heroine of the UBW route meanwhile has already taken over the “most popular girl” spot, which of course, has been held by Saber.
