Figure and plastic model companies made their presence felt in this year’s edition of the All Japan Model Hobby Show, which featured some of the biggest names in the Japanese hobby industry. The event is currently being held at the Tokyo Big Sight until September 27, and it kicked off yesterday.
Let’s start things off with Bandai, which was of course highlighted by their new upcoming GunPlas. They also announced several new additions to their Re/100 GunPla line as well as showed off some of their upcoming MG, HG, and RG GunPla. But Bandai wasn’t all GunPla as they also featured plastic models from Star Wars and Youkai Watch among others. They also did a feature on the latest entry in the Gundam franchise, Iron-blooded Orphans.

Good Smile Company meanwhile showed off some of Max Factory’s new Plamax plastic models, as well as new figma and figFIX figures.
While Megahouse introduced new GunPla accessories, as well as other plastic models and figures from series such as Gundam and Expelled from Paradise.
On the other hand, Wave’s own booth features a mix of plastic model kits and modeling equipment.
And Kotobukiya showcased upcoming figures and plastic models, which include ones from Star Wars, new Frame Arms Girls, new Zoids, and Cu-poche figures.
