Newtype Magazine’s February 2016 edition has reported that J.C. Staff will be making a new TV anime, and no Index fans, it’s not season 3 of A Certain Magical Index, but expect it to be magical too, as they will be animating Chihiro Ishizuka’s Flying Witch manga.
According to the magazine, Flying Witch’s anime adaptation is scheduled for April 2016, and Tsukihime anime director, Katsushi Sakurabi, will be the anime’s director. Noragami writer, Deko Akao, is in-charge of writing the scripts, while the characters will be designed by Masato Yasuno.
The anime will be following the daily life of Makoto Kowata, a 15-year old witch, who moved from Yokohama to Aomori, together with her black cat, Chito, to live with her second cousin. The manga already has three tankoubon volumes released.
