NHK World’s Anime World+ blog has revealed new details on the upcoming second anime adaptation for Rumiko Takahashi’s RIN-NE manga, which includes this brand new key visual image, featuring some of the first anime’s returning characters, as well as a few new ones who will be introduced this season:
The second anime will introduce a damashigami girl named Renge, as well as Ageha’s contracted cat, Oboro, and Kain’s contracted cat, Suzu. They also revealed that the anime will premiere on April 9, and will be aired via NHK.
Based on legendary Ranma 1/2, InuYasha, and Urusei Yatsura mangaka, Rumiko Takahashi’s supernatural manga, the second anime will pick up where the first one left off, and will continue the story of the half-shinegami, Rinne Rokudo and his classmate, Sakura Mamiya. More announcements about this second season will be made in the days ahead.
