The new summer 2016 anime season has not yet started, yet one of its hottest anime is already being talked about among fans, as the upcoming Food Wars: Shokugeko no Souma – The Second Plate TV anime is coming into the upcoming season with a ton of hype. To keep the Shokugeki hype going, Warner Brothers anime has started streaming a brad new CM, which teases us with what to expect:
Also featuring the anime’s theme song, titled “Rough Diamonds” by SCREEN mode, the video offers up some of that “Food Porn” the series has been known for, and teases us about the characters who are returning to compete in the Totsuki Autumn Elections.
It was also announced that the second season, also titled Food Wars! Shokugeki no Souma: The Second Plate, will premiere in Japan on 2 July, and will be showing a new episode for the Summer 2016 season every Saturday at 10:00 pm.
It will be a direct sequel to the anime, which premiered spring of last year, and will pick up where the first anime left off. It will continue with the manga’s Autumn Elections arc.
