E3 has featured plenty of games and new gadgets, and one of the games presented was the upcoming Musuo-style game for the Fate series by Marvelous and Type-Moon, Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star, which will be released for Japan on 10 September, before heading west this winter 2016 for the PS4 and PS Vita.
The game will not only feature servants from the Fate/Extra games, as well as the Fate/Stay Night anime series, but also ones from both Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order. The video features Red Saber (Nero Claudius), Saber Altera (Attila the Hun), and Caster (Tama no Mae) in action, before introducing Seber (Artoria Pendragon), Lancer (Elizabeth Bathory), Archer (Gilgamesh), Archer (Nameless/ Shiro Emiya), and Ruler (J’eanne D’Arc).
Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star will feature what is called a “high-speed Servant action,” where servants can use a combination of weak and strong attacks to trigger a combo attack. Players can also take the fight to the air as they launch their servants for even more devastating attacks.
And since the game will be released for both PS4 and PS Vita, data sharing and cross saving between the two platforms is possible!
