After promising an “important announcement” for legendary mangaka, Ken Akamatsu’s UQ Holder! manga, it seems that the series, which is a spin-off of his popular manga series, Negima, is also getting its very own anime adaptation, as announced by upcoming the 30th issue of Weekly Shounen Magazine.
Not much has been announced for the anime adapration so far, but the magazine is also announcing that the series is moving from Weekly Shounen Magazine to Bessatsu Shounen Magazine, which is a monthly magazine. The manga will then go on a temporary hiatus to make the shift, and will be returning in 9 October.
The UQ Holder! manga, which is set after the events of Akamatsu’s Negima manga, also features several characters from that manga, most notably Evangeline, who is the teacher of the main character, Souta, who must defeat her to realize his dreams of leaving his small town and moving to the city.
