#1 ain"t surprising again! Charapedia ranks the Top 90"s 20 Anisongs with male vocals

Japanese anime character database, Charapedia, is continuing their 90’s Anisong polls this week. After taking a look at the Anisongs with female vocals last week, they are giving the guys their own poll this week, as they asked anime fans which 90’s Anisong with male vocals is their favorite.

They asked 10,000 anime fans for this poll, 68.3% of whom were male, while 37.1% were female. Here are the Top 20:

20 – Kimi Iro Omoi by SMAP (Akazukin Chacha)

19 – Yuuki 100% by Hikaru Genji  (Nintama Rantarou)

18 – MYSTIC EYES by Hiroki Wada (Vision of Escaflowne)

17 – the fourth avenue cafe by L’Arc ~ en ~ Ciel (Rurouni Kenshin)

16 – tactics by THE T THE YELLOW MONKEY (Rurouni Kenshin)

9 – Heart Of Sword – Yoake Mae by T.M. Revolution (Rurouni Kenshin)

8 – Trust You Forever by Yoshifumi Ushima (Mobile Fighter G Gundam)

3 – 1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou by SIAM SHADE (Rurouni Kenshin)

2 – Unbalance na Kiss o Shite by Hiro Takahashi (Yu Yu Hakusho)

1 – Butter-fly by Koji Wada (Digimon Adventure 01

We are going to repeat what we’ve said about last week‘s results… because come on, you saw it coming more than a mile away, and we did too! The late Koji Wada’s opening song for Digimon was the song of many of our childhoods, and it ain’t surprising for a song that’s also considered a masterpiece for an artiste to take the #1 spot.

And while Yu Yu Hakusho took the #2 spot, it was Rurouni Kenshin which took the most places in the Top 20, with a total of four, with the highest being at #3.
