Studio Ghibli has plenty of unforgettable films, and all of them have their fair share of unforgettable heroines. Japanese women’s website, MyNavi Woman, recently asked MEN what they think about Ghibli’s heroines, and asked to vote for which one is their favorite.
A total of 101 guys participated in the poll, and they are all aged between 22 – 38 years-old. MyNavi Woman revealed the Top 5, or rather Top 6 as there were plenty of ties.
6 – San (Princess Mononoke)
5 – Chihiro (Spirited Away)
4 – Shizuku Tsukishima (Whisper of the Heart)
3/2 (tie) – Sheeta (Laputa: Castle in the Sky)
3/2 (tie) – Nausicaa (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind)
1 – Kiki (Kiki’s Delivery Service)
The ever-lovable Kiki has won over the hearts of guys in this poll, and as one voter pointed out, She makes people feel good, and that’s enough to know why people voted for her.
Ghibli is known for strong female leads, and the list has plenty of them in the Top 6, with San, Nausicaa, Chihiro, etc., and they have proven to not only be popular among guys, but as an inspiration to girls as well. So, who is your favorite Ghibli heroine?
