Tokyo Ghoul is getting a live-action film, and now, they have revealed its very first visual, and it features actor Masataka Kubota as Ken Kaneki, about to wear that “eye patch” ghoul mask of his.

Also revealed is the mask’s design concept. Chistian Dada designer and Tokyo Ghoul manga fan, Masanori Morikawa designed the mask, which will be on display during the Jump Festa event in Chiba.
They are also showing two minutes worth of footage from the film during the same Jump Festa event in Chiba. Aside from Kubota, who plays Kaneki, the cast will include:
- Fumika Shimizu as Tohka Kirishima
- Yuu Aoi as Rize Kamishiro
- Nobuyuki Suzuki as Koutarou Amon
- Yo Oizumi as Kureo Mado
The live-action Tokyo Ghoul movie, which will be directed by Kentarou Hagiwara, is slated to premiere in Summer 2017. It is based on Sui Ishida’s popular action-horror manga.
