Popular mangaka celebrate One Piece"s 20th anniversary on Weekly Shounen Jump!"s latest cover

One Piece was first launched in July 1997. It was created by Eiichiro Oda, and surely enough, the manga soon became one of the most popular titles in history. 20 years later, the combined 2nd and 3rd issue of Weekly Shounen Jump! magazine celebrated the manga’s anniversary with a very special cover art done by some of the magazine’s current and most popular mangaka, or manga creators.

The cover featured illustrations from Haruichi Furudate (Haikyuu!!), Yuuki Tabata (Black Clover), Takamasa Moue (Ole Golazo), and Koyoharu Gotouge (Kimetsu no Yaiba). Also included is a text saying We are friends, too!!!!!!!!!!”

In the lower right corner of the cover, Shounen Jump is also hinting that the other half of Luffy will appear on the magazine’s next cover, and will be connecting with the combined issue’s cover. The previous issue also featured Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga in its cover, saying that “2017 is Our Year!” since its when the series is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
