Naruto is getting a live-action Hollywood movie, and Masashi Kishimoto himself is involved!

During the Jump Festa event, a stage presentation has announced that Naruto is really getting a live-action adaptation by Hollywood! The live-action movie will be produced by Lionsgate and will be directed by Micheal Gracey.

And the new movie might not go down the Dragon Ball Evolution route, as that movie did not do much consultation with Dragon ball creator, Akira Toriyama. The live-action Naruto movie, however, will be consulting with the creator a whole lot more, as they also announced that Masashi Kishimoto himself is involved with the project.

The rumors of the film surfaced back in 2015 when it was reported that Lionsgate has bought the rights to adapt Kishimoto’s manga into a live-action film. The event announcement has confirmed the rumors, and we only now have to wait for further announcements.
