[NEW ANIME] Shounen Jump manga, Black Clover, gets a TV anime adaptation by Naruto"s studio, Pierrot

Studio Pierrot, the very same studio behind the anime adaptation of the legendary Shounen Jump! manga, Naruto, is adapting another manga from the popular manga magazine, as announced during the Jump Festa event last weekend.

Based on the hit manga by Yuuki Tabata, Black Clover follows Asta, a boy who lives in a world full of magic. He made a promise to a friend, and dreams of becoming the Wizard King, the greatest mage of the land. However, there is one problem as he himself has no ability with magic.

However, the event did not go into much detail about this new anime adaptation, only revealing that the manga is getting adapted into an anime, and Studio Pierrot is producing it. More details will be announced in the days to come.

The manga is also getting an OVA on May 02, 2017, which will come released with the manga’s Vol. 11 release. However, it will be produced by XEBEC and not Pierrot, which will be doing the TV anime.
