The World Cosplay Summit international competition has just kicked off in Nagoya moments ago, but earlier today France has already fired the first salvo by bagging an award at the event: the championship title for the Live Dam Presents Nippon World Karaoke Grand Prix competition, a prelude to the actual World Cosplay Summit competition.

Denmark’s representative came in as the runner-up.
Super Dolls, the cosplay idol unit of which Alodia Gosiengfiao is a member, also made a special live appearance and performed two songs from their upcoming debut CD release.
We’ll update this post later today or tomorrow when we’ve had the chance to verify the names of the winners, but for now, here’s a quick photo report.
