Danganronpa is still red hot and its anime adaptation is currently one of the most popular ones this summer season. Sure, the game may induce a lot of despair for the characters involved in the psychotic game of whodunnit – but the franchise itself has a lot to be happy about.
The Tokyo Anime Center in Akihabara is currently hosting a Danganronpa exhibition titled “Danganronpa Hope’s Peak Academy enrolment experience” from August 6-18. One of the exhibit’s highlights is the 1/1 scale model of the infamous “Class Trial” court room where the students find out who among themselves is the murderer. You can see Monobear (or Monokuma) sitting smugly in the middle waiting for something to happen.
The exhibit also features several illustrations and set materials from the original game, the anime and the game’s sequel, Super Danganronpa 2.
And of course, the exhibit also features some awesome Danganronpa merchandise which are up for sale. These include the Monobear (or Monokuma) nendoroid, some figures, mugs, fans pillows, straps and many many more.
The exhibit will also be hitting the road soon. From August 31-September 1, the exhibit will be held on the Chiba Makuhari Messe during the Chara Hobby 2013 event. The exhibit will then hit Osaka from September 14-29 on the Gee! Store annex. Admission is free for both the Akihabara and Osaka exhibitions.
