Lynn Okamoto’s science fiction-fantasy manga about magic, aliens and a mysterious transfer student, “Brynhildr in the Darkness” or “Gokukoku no Brynhildr” is finally getting an anime adaptation as part of the jam-packed Spring 2014 anime season. Nicotube has recently released the upcoming anime’s latest PV.
The anime follows Ryouta Murakami who lost his childhood friend in an accident and he blames himself for it. One day, a transfer student named Neko Kuruha transfers into his class and she looks exactly like his dead childhood friend. Neko also turns out to be a magic user who has recently escaped a research lab. Other magic users eventually follow.
Brynhildr in the Darkness is scheduled to premiere April 2014 as part of the Spring 2014 Anime Season which includes heavyweights like Date A Live II, Love Live! Season 2, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders, Fairy Tail 2 and the much talked about “The Irregular at Magic High School”.
