Question, what is a blend of 25 different spices with a touch of a beautiful French blonde, tsundere otaku girl, yandere snake goddess, “Angel” in the afterlife, and Black Rock Shooter? The answer is the Kana-chan Secret Recipe Zeushi-kun Spyce 25 Beef Curry (かなちゃんとゼウシくん秘密のレシピ ～SPYCE“25”ビーフカレー～).
This new beef curry from ZEN-NOH celebrates the release of voice actress Kana Hanazawa‘s second album, 25, and boasts a mix of 25 different spices along with a hint of apple and plenty of ginger. It is promoted along with ZEN-NOHs mascot character, Zeushi-kun.
ZEN-NOH serves as Japan’s National Federation of Agricultural Co-operative Associations and Kana Hanazawa has appeared in one of their commercials along with Zeushi-kun to promote Yakiniku.
When asked how she felt now that a curry has been named after her, Kana Hanazawa answered that she did not believe it at first but now, she is quite happy with it. She also said that the curry was delicious and loved how gingery it was.
The voice actress, who just celebrated her 25th birthday last February 25 (hence the album title 25 and the number of spices in the curry), is known for voicing Charlotte Dunois (IS: Infinite Stratos), Kuroneko (OreImo), Sengoku Nadeko (Monogatari Series), Angel/ Kanade Tachibana (Angel Beats!) and Black Rock Shooter’s titular character.
