CoroCoro Comics official store opens in Saitama

You’ve heard of Shounen Jump!’s Jump Store, but have you ever heard of CoroCoro Base? That is because there is a new shop dedicated to one specific manga magazine, which has just opened in Japan and it is called the CoroCoro Base, and it is dedicated to Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comics manga magazine.

CoroCoro Comics is best known for serializing the Pokemon, Kaitou Joker, Duel Masters, and Yo-Kai Watch mangas, as well as a few other titles mostly aimed for children. Many fans also know the magazine because it is also where important announcements about Pokemon are made.

During the store’s opening, several mascots were also present, including Pokemon’s Pikachu and Hoopa, who delighted the kids in attendance.

Another special guest to the opening event is Duel Masters manga creator, Shigenobu Matsumoto, who drew an illustration and posed for a few pictures with Pikachu.

CoroCoro Base will be selling exclusive merchandise from their various manga titles and is located at the LaLaport Fujimi shopping center in Fujimi City, Saitama.
