Fans of NisiOisin’s critically acclaimed Monogatari series have been greatly divided with some new news which has come from a display from the Shosen Book Tower book store in Tokyo which confirms that Owarimonogatari, part of the Monogatari series final season, will indeed be having a TV anime sometime later this year as briefly listed by one of its animators
The display announced that Owarimonogatari will be making its premiere this October 2015 as part of the Autumn 2015 anime season. It is based on NisiOisin’s three-volume story which is part of the Monogatari series Final Season and includes “Oogi Formula,” “Sodachi Riddle”, “Sodachi Lost”, Shinobu Mail, Mayoi Hell, Hitagi Rendezvous, and Ougi Dark.
Meanwhile, just like last year, the Monogatari series once again celebrated the Japanese star festival known as Tanabata with fans tying up their wishes in bamboos as part of Japanese tradition. However, this just seems to show that the fans are getting anxious about the fate of Kizumonogatari, which was announced back in 2012 and is still in development limbo today. Some fans have wished for Shaft to keep their promise of animating “Koyomi Vamp”, which is the prequel to the Monogatari series. Fans showed that they really want to see Kizumonogatari animated as they wished for it in the Monogatari Tanabata event in Akihabara Station
