The 7 recently-concluded Spring 2015 anime which struck us the most

Spring 2015 is now officially over and the new Summer anime are about to take the places of some anime which have now ended. But which of them have been the most memorable? We take a look at seven titles which have now concluded and each one of them have truly struck us for one reason or another.

Take note that these are anime which concluded during the course of last month, so ongoing anime like Gintama and The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan are definitely not included in our list. Also, since the final episode of Blood Blockade Battlefront has been delayed until further notice, we cannot add it to our list because technically, the anime is still not over, however, we will put it as a special mention since we love the anime!

And without further ado, here are our seven picks (these are NOT ranked by the way):

Assassination Classroom

Funny, innovative, and really fun to watch, Assassination Classroom is certainly worth the hype. Though it premiered last January as part of the Winter 2015 season, “AssClass” has proven that it certainly is one of this year’s best and funniest.

Sound Euphonium!

With deep and complex characters and a good story, Kyoto Animation’s Sound! Euphonium has become one of this season’s very best, and that is saying a lot! This band anime may also have that same moe art style as other KyoAni anime, but rest assured that this one is a bit different from the rest. Sound! Euphonium also has a lot of yuri shippers go crazy with the Reina X Kumiko pairing, and KyoAni has done a good job with shipping them

Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

Whether you love it or hate it, There is no doubt that “Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?”, or Danmachi for short, has certainly become one of this year’s most talked about anime, with people falling head over heels with its divine female lead, Hestia. But despite the fact that fans remain divided on the anime just like Sword Art Online, the anime was quite enjoyable and its characters (particularly Hestia), won’t be forgotten for quite some time.

If there is one thing Plastic Memories has been successful in making me do, it’s this:

Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine

This second season to Knights of Sidonia has made many people think that a chimera hybrid developed from Gauna and humans is the cutest thing ever, and we think so too! Come on, Tsugumi is just adorable and does not look disgusting at all! Right? But all kidding aside, the anime packed plenty of thrills and action which really put audience in the edges of their seats

Fate/ Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works (TV) part 2

ufotable’s anime adaptation of Fate/ Stay Night’s Rin Tohsaka route, Unlimited Blade Works, is just simply amazing. With beautiful animation and a story loyal to the game, it’s no wonder why many fans actually prefer this version than Studio DEEN’s anime movie adaptation. It’s safe to say that many fans have fallen for Rin in this one!

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. Too

In what can be described as this season’s most emotionally-charged anime, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. Too has proven that a change in the character designs is absolutely not a hindrance for delivering a stellar anime. Picking up where the first season left off, this second season is a lot heavier story-wise than its predecessor and delivers the interpersonal conflicts and relationships beautifully. They say that Evangelion is the anti-mecha mecha anime and Madoka Magica is the anti-magical girl magical girl anime. Well, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. Too certainly delivers as the anti-romantic comedy romantic comedy anime as it once again twists the genre into a more realistic and conflict-heavy manner while still using the traditional RomCom anime tropes we are all familiar with
