With the main cast members now finally revealed in costume, a new key visual image for the live-action stage play adaptation of Ghost in the Shell: ARISE has been revealed, and fans of the anime will be very familiar with it. Here it is:
Can you guess why it looks familiar? That’s because it is actually inspired by the main visual from “Ghost in The Shell ARISE: border:4 Ghost Stands Alone”, which of course is the fourth chapter in the Ghost in the Shell: ARISE series. Compare and contrast:
The play, titled Ghost in the Shell: ARISE: Ghost is Alive, will be shown live at the Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijou Playhouse from November 5-15. It is also considered as the “very first” play to incorporate 3D videos in the actors’ performance. Audience members get to wear 3D glasses to enhance the stage play’s experience.
Previously, they revealed main character, Motoko Kusanagi, before also revealing three more cast members and then revealing the actors for Togusa, Paz, and more. The actors for Batou, Borma, Ibachi, and Thied, have also been revealed in costume.
