Yuki Suetsugu’s bestselling shoujo manga, Chihayafuru, is headed to the big screen with a live-action movie adaptation, and the movie’s official website has started streaming the very first trailer for this upcoming live-action movie adaptation.
The teaser trailer introduces us to the titular character, Chihaya, played by actress Suzu Hirose. It also introduces us to the game which the manga and anime adaptations have popularized outside of Japan, Karuta.
The live-action Chihayafuru movie adaptation will be split into two parts, with the first one, Chihayafuru: Kami no Ku, opening on March 2016, and the second movie, Chihayafuru: Shimo no Ku, opening on April 2016.
