Kuroyukihime, Haruyuki, Chiyuri, and Takumu are set to return as a new Accel World anime is announced during the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2015 event, and this new anime will be titled Accel World: Infinite Burst.
Sunrise will be animating this new anime, which will feature a completely original story written by Accel World and Sword Art Online light novel author, Reki Kawahara. New characters will be added in the anime as well.
Masakazu Obara, who directed the original Accel World anime, will be returning at the helm of this new project. Not much other announcements have been made, and they did not specify whether Accel World: Infinite Burst will be an anime movie, an OVA, an ONA, or a TV anime. More announcements are sure to come so stay tuned.
