[VIDEOS] Tamiya reveals their life-size Mini 4WD race car

Usually, Tamiya’s signature Mini-4WD cars are 1/35 scale and usually measure around 15cm, however, what happens when the hobby company makes a life-size or a 1:1 scale version of their cars? Enter the new 1:1 scale Aero Avante.

Gee, I wonder what dynamo and chassis were used in that “mini 4WD car”? Well, it actually uses an air-cooled flat-four OHV 1.6-liter engine instead of the usual dynamo, and it boasts a speed of 180 kph, a lot faster than your average Mini 4WD mind you.n Hey, it even comes with rollers, just like Tamiya’s model kits!

The 1:1 scale Aero Avante “Mini 4WD” measures in at 4.65 meters long, 2.8 meters wide, and 1.44 meters high, and unlike your usual Mini 4WD, it actually needs a driver.
