We are not surprised with #1 as anime fans rank the Top 20 most impressive anime tear-jerkers

There are anime which made us all cry, but which of them left the biggest impression? Charapedia recently asked 10,000 anime fans that very question.

Of these 10,000 voters, 59.2% were male, while 40.8% were female. A total of 44 series were included in the poll, but only the Top 20 were named, and they are:

20 – Attack on Titan

19 – your name.

18 – Kuroko’s Basketball

17 – Tokyo Ghoul

16 – Re:Zero

15 – Madoka Magica

14 – Natsume’s Book of Friends

13 – Sword Art Online

12 – K-On!

11 – Naruto

10 – Haikyuu!!

9 – Love Live!

8 – Assassination Classroom

7 – Nagi no Asukara

6 – Plastic Memories

5 – Angel Beats!

4 – Gintama

3 – Your Lie in April

2 – CLANNAD

1 – AnoHana

Admit it, you saw the Top 3, and even #5 coming, though it seems that a lot of anime fans find AnoHana the most impressive tear-jerker of all. Gintama surprised a few fans, though the mostly-comedy series still has its own tear-jerking dramatic moments here and there… and then shift back to its top comedic form an episode later.
