Blood-C anime is getting a live-action movie

CLAMP and Production I.G’s vampire anime, Blood-C, featured plenty of gore, and now, it’s also getting itself a live-action movie. The film is officially titled “Asura Shoujo ~Blood-C Ibun~”, and it will feature a completely original story. A teaser visual for the film has also been revealed.

The original story is set in the events before World War II, when Japan’s military regime was still in power. Persona 4 stage play director, Shutaro Oku, is directing the film. He also directed the Blood-C: The Last Mind live-action stage play, which means that he is very familiar with the franchise.

CLAMP and Production I.G. have both been credited as the creators of the franchise. It is slated to premiere in early Fall 2017. More announcements about the film will be revealed in the future.
