After taking a look at the brand new titles for Winter 2017, we continue our look into the new season as we now take a look at its returning anime and spin-offs. These are either sequels/continuations, new seasons, spin-offs, or TV adaptations of anime which were shown before. Like our New Anime list, we also chose seven titles and we did NOT rank them. Here they are:
Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga
We’ve waited years for this, why wouldn’t we get excited to see Rin, Yukio, and everyone else again?!
Konosuba 2
2 words: Megumin, Explosions. Oh, and we’re ready to laugh out loud again.
Little Witch Academia (TV)
When Studio Trigger (Kill la Kill) released that first short film, we instantly fell in love with Little Witch Academia, and now taht its getting a complete TV anime version, we’re really stoked as we brace ourselves for even more magical hi-jinx.
Yowamushi Pedal: New Generation
This third Yowamushi Pedal TV anime comes hot off that Yowamushi Pedal and that exciting climax from the second season, which was titled Grande Road. With the Third Years now retired, Team Sohoku is back, and this time, they have a new look. However, trouble seems to be looming as Hakone Academy has a new ace to challenge them.
Fuuka
From the mangaka infamous for always playing with everyone’s hearts, Kouji Seo, comes this musical anime about Yuu Haruna. The anime is actually a spin-off of Kouji Seo’s previous manga, Suzuka, which also got an anime back in 2005, and features Suzuka and Yamato’s daughter, Fuuka Akitsuki. The theme however shifts from track sports and into the world of music in this tragic anime about a band, love, and heartaches. Oh, and watch out for Truck-kun! Truck-kun-senpai is best gril!
Tales of Zestitria the X 2
We weren’t quite satisfied with how the first anime ended, but now, we may finally be getting some answers as the story continues where it left off in the previous season. As usual, we’re also quite excited to see that beautiful ufotable animation again!
Gintama.
It’s Gintama, nuf said.
