Blue Exorcist"s Rin and Yukio exchange costumes with Black Butler"s Sebastian and Grell for new crossover

Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Arc is premiering later this month, and the anime surprised its fans for the New Year with a collaboration with Black Butler, which also has an anime movie coming up this month, titled Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic. The new crossover collaboration promotes both upcoming supernatural anime about demons. The collaboration has been called “Ao Shitsuji” or “Blue Butler”.


 



The crossover collaboration features the half-demon twins Rin and Yukio Okumura wearing the costumes usually worn by Black Butler’s Sebastian Michaelis and Grell Sutcliff and vice versa. The Tokyo Metro Shinjuku Station Metro Promenade will be featuring the four of them in posters for a limited time, from January 2 – 8, 2017.


The collaboration also features the voice actors of each character in recordings. Nobuhiko Okamoto, who voices Rin, is imitating Sebastian, while Daisuke Ono, who voices Sebastian, is imitating Rin. Meanwhile, Jun Fukuyama, who voices both Grell and Yukio, does the same, with both of his characters trying to imitate each other.
