200+ Voice Actors vote among themselves for the Top 25 seiyuu

NHK has aired a TV special on voice actors (seiyuu) titled “Ninki Seiyuu 200-nin Honki de Eranda! Seiyuu Soysenkyo”. One of the highlights include over 200 seiyuu having to vote for their peers on who they think are great. Here are the Top 26:

25/26 (tie): Sumi Shimamoto (A Little Princess Sara’s Sara) and Hiroaki Hirata (One Piece’s Sanji)

24 – Yuji Mitsuya (Saint Seiya’s Virgo Shaka)

23 – Kaneta JKimotsuki (Doraemon’s Suneo)

22 – Akira Kamiya (Fist of the North Star’s Kenshiro)

21 – Noriko Hidaka (Ranma 1/2’s Akane Tendou)

20 – Shigeru Chiba (Yu Yu Hakusho’s Kazuma Kuwabara)

19 – Yoku Shioya (Slam Dunk’s Ryouta Miyagi)

18 – Kiyoshi Kobayashi (Lupin III’s Daisuke Jigen)

17 – Yoshiko Sakakibara (Gundam ZZ/Zeta’s Haman Karn)

16 – Akiko Yajima (Crayon Shin-chan’s Shin-chan)

15 – Kotono Mitsuishi (Sailor Moon’s Isagi/ Sailor Moon)

There you have it folks, the voice actors themselves have spoken, and voted Kouichi Yamadera. The man is one of the most respected people in the anime industry, and it’s no surprise that he won.
