Cyber crime is no laughing matter, and to increase the awareness for cyber security, several Japanese agencies have sought the help of Sword Art Online’s Black Swordsman himself, Kirito! Japan’s The National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC), Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA) and Japan Network Security Association (JNSA) have appointed him as their latest “Cyber Security Investigator”.
As the “Cyber Security Investigator”, Kirito is tasked with helping the public know that they need to be secure with their digital information, such as passwords, pin numbers, and credit card numbers. Kirito is also getting some help from his Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale co-stars to spread awareness.
The campaign is part of the Japanese government’s Cyber Security Awareness Month. Several posters of the campaign will also be spread throughout Japan.
