news large perfume ultra1

Ever wished you could go backstage during a Perfume concert to find out just exactly what sort of bleeding-edge technologies are involved in recreating the mesmerising and often ground-breaking stage effects you see at one of the Japanese technopop unit’s live shows?

Now, thanks to a “Rhizomatiks inspired by Perfume” (ライゾマティクス inspired by Perfume) exhibition that’s slated to be held at the NTT InterCommunication Center (ICC, Tokyo Opera City Tower 4F in Nishishinjuku or West Shinjuku) from September 21 to October 20, you can.

Rhizomatiks is the group of creators who’ve worked on a number of video clips, stage set-ups and costumes for Perfume, and you’ll find some of their handiwork on display at the ICC showcase.

Apart from Rhizomatiks’s advanced stage technologies and costumes, the Perfume “Global Site Project” will also be exhibited at the showcase.

An entry ticket to the Rhizomatiks inspired by Perfume exhibition costs 500 yen. Admission is free for Japanese high school students and younger.
