Last week, a mysterious countdown site opened, and it seems to be teasing that once it reaches zero, a new anime will be revealed. And after a week of speculating, the website has indeed revealed a new anime, which is titled Vitreous Flower Destroys the World.
Vitreous Flower Destroys the World, or Glass no Hana to Kowasu Sekai, will not be a TV anime, but an animated movie, and it will be shown in Japanese cinemas sometime later this year.
The movie will be based on D.Back-up, an illustration project by Physics Point, which won Pony Canyon’s Anime-ka Taishou Prize back in 2013, and is awarded an anime adaptation. The teaser site caused a lot of stir in Japan as many had no idea what this new countdown site will be revealing.
A-1 Pictures will be producing the animation with Masashi Ishihama (From the New World) at the helm as the director. Clannad writer, Fumiko Shino, will be writing the screenplay while Hentai Prince character designer, Kantoku, is responsible for the character designs.
