Jed’s Island Resort in Calumpit, Bulacan, Philippines has gotten the attention of many anime fans from around the world with its 21-meter “Gundam” statue. However, the resort seems to also cater to other fan bases as it features other anime series as well. Here you can see Super Saiyan Goku, kid Goku (or is that Goten?), Buu, and Naruto.
One Piece and Blizzard strategy game, Warcraft, are also present in the resort, though they look different… really really really different.
Jed’s Island also features Disney and comic book characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, Hulk, and many more. There’s Ben 10 too!
Um, yeah, that’s really supposed to be Elsa… I think. There is also another Voltes V statue near the pool area, right next to Snow White.
Why is it that the only ones which actually look good are their Voltes V statues?
Well, that’s some resort. The owner must be a huge fan of many of the series featured. However, many fans are criticizing them for not portraying the characters and the mechas accurately, however, many have argued that this may be an effort to not get sued for copyright infringement by the companies whose characters they have featured.
