Ever wonder how professional Japanese illustrators and character designers do what they do? How they pull off the characters and illustrations we love so much? Wacom’s new video series takes a look at how they apply their trade, and its latest one takes a look at Ichiso Kujou, best known for designing Yuudachi for the PC browser game, Kantai Collection. Poi.
Using the liquid crystal pen tablet “Cintiq 27QHD”, Kujou showed how it’s done in the video, with a little help from the fast-forward button. This just shows the great work and attention that professional illustrators give when they do their works. Here is the final product, and below it is the character card for Yuudachi in the original game.
Now wouldn’t you poi to that? Wacom also featured Abyssal Ship designer, Oguchi, in a previous video.
