Terraformars gets a live-action movie

Prepare yourselves for gigantic humanoid cockroaches seen in live action because according to a leaked magazine scan of issue #11 of Young Jump Magazaine, Kenichi Tachibana and Yuu Sasuga’s best-selling anime and manga series, Terraformars, will be getting itself a live action movie adaptation.

Japanese director, Takashi Miike, best known for his work on the live-action versions of Yatterman and Ace Attorney, will be at the helm of this new movie. Young Jump has announced that more information about the movie, such as the cast and release date, will be revealed in future issues of Young Jump.


Terraformars is set in the near future when humanity has sent cockroaches to Mars in order to terraform it in order to make the environment suitable for humans. Nowm 500 years later, these cockroaches have evolved into gigantic monsters and have killed the humans who are trying to explore Mars.
